Meet Dr. Stephens, Oral Surgeon

Dr. Stephens is a Wellesley native and attended the Roxbury Latin School before receiving his
Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Amherst College. He earned his medical degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago and completed his internship in General Surgery at Tulane Medical Center in NewOrleans, Louisiana. He went on to study at Columbia University College of Dental Medicine in New York City. While at Columbia, Dr. Stephens served as president of the Steven M. Roser Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Society and was active both in research and in the local community. Dr. Stephens went on to complete his residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Mount Sinai-Beth Israel/Jacobi in New York City where he also served as chief resident.

In addition to private practice, Dr. Stephens is a Clinical Instructor in the Department of
Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine and maintains
operating privileges at Tufts University Medical Center. His responsibilities at the dental school
include surgical supervision of the dental implant center.

Dr. Stephens’s philosophy is to treat each patient as if they are a member of his family,
delivering compassionate care to all patients he sees. Dr. Stephens lives with his wife and daughter in Wellesley. In his free time, he enjoys the arts, the outdoors, especially snowboarding and mountain biking, and, of course, Boston sports.
