Oral Cancer Screenings

According to the Oral Cancer Foundation, more than 34,000 Americans will be diagnosed with oral or pharyngeal cancer this year. Of those newly diagnosed individuals, only half will be alive in 5 years.

The good news is that most cancers of the mouth can be cured if caught early. Dr. Levitt and our team in Newton, MA take oral cancer very seriously, which is why we conduct oral cancer screenings at every regular exam. If you detect any of the following signs or symptoms in your mouth, on your gums, tongue or lip, please call our office immediately.
